‘Unacceptable fake news’: Paul Pogba denies quitting France over President Macron’s islamophobic remarks

Manchester United and France National Team football superstar, Paul Pogba has debunked rumours that he is retiring from the French national team.

Some local and international media including The Sun and Daily Mail of London had earlier on Monday reported that Pogba – a devout Muslim – was going to retire after being angered by France’s President Emmanuel Macron’s islamophobic remarks.

But the midfielder rubbished the claims through his verified Twitter handle, branded it as unacceptable fake news, with screenshot of The Sun, which was among the multiple media that picked the story, quoting various Middle Eastern news sources.
