LASPOTECH Rector charges students on academic, moral uprightness

The Rector of Lagos State Polytechnic, Dr. Oluremi Olaleye, has advised Nigerian youths to remain focused and avoid all forms of distractions in the pursuit of academic excellence.

Olaleye made this call during a courtesy visit by the Muslim Students’ Society of Nigeria, Alimosho Area Council, to his office in Ikorodu, Lagos, recently.

Dr. Olaleye said, “the only way to get to the top is to be diligent with one’s studies”. The Rector futher encouraged the students to be morally upright at all times.

Dr. Olaleye took the students through his life history as a member of MSSN and various academic endeavors.

The representative of MSSN, Alimosho Area Council, Mr. Alli Bello appreciated the Rector for warmly receiving the society as well as his words of encouragement.

He said, “today’s programme will ever remain in our memory. We have been charged and we hope this will be a turning point in our success story to greatness.”
