Turkish Ambassador, Sen. Shekarau, others attend Darus-Shafaqah Orphanage Home opening in Abuja

Turkish Ambassador to Nigeria, Amb. Hidayet Bayraktar; Senator representing Kano Central, Malam Ibrahim Shekarau joined other dignitaries to officially open and commission an orphanage home, Darus-Shafaqah and International Model Secondary School for orphans, Darul-Anwar in Mpape Abuja.

Muslim News gathered that the school and orphanage home is being run and established by Darul-Amin Foundation, one of Turkiye NGOs operating in Nigeria.

The event which held on Monday, January 17 was also attended by the Secretary for Education, FCT, Alhaji Sani Tahir Elkatuzu, The Emir of Mpape, among other foreign eminent and national diplomats.

The Turkish Embassy in Abuja posted pictures from the colourful events on its social media handles, with the caption;

Ambassador Bayraktar attended the inauguration ceremony of Darush-Shafaqah Orphanage and Darul Anwar International School, commissioned by Turkish Darul Amin Foundation, in Mpape, Abuja.

A Turkish born journalist, Kenan Toprak, who writes on Turkish-Africa, especially Nigeria relation also shared the pictures on his Twitter handle, with the following caption:
