The community received 108 cows donated by the Malaysian organisation for qurbani (sacrificial meat) which was distributed among beneficiaries pulled from Offa, Ipee, Iraa, Igosun and Ilemona communities including prison inmates, the poor, widows and the needy.

Muslim organisations such as Ansar-Ud-Deen Society of Nigeria; Muslim Students Society of Nigeria (MSSN), Offa Central Branch; Nawairudeen Society; NACOMYO; Tawakalitu Society; Qodiriya, Tijaniya and Adabiya movements and central masaajid in the communities, benefitted from the gesture.

In his appreciation message to the foundation on behalf of the community, the Director of Offa Islamic Foundation (OIF), Dr. Abdullahi Ayolo expressed utmost appreciation to the donours and prayed Almighty Allah to bless and reward them.

In his words, “On behalf of the beneficiaries and Offa Community at large, we express our heartfelt gratitude to the Yayasan Korban Ikhlas Foundation for the Qurbani support for the celebration of this year’s Eid-ul-Adha. We pray Allah accept the efforts as acts of worship, bless and uphold them on continuous good deeds.

“The distribution of cows to the community commenced in 2020 and has consistently continued for 3 years, which has put happiness and joy in the homes of Muslims celebrating the festival. The project is timely due to the economic hardship in the country and across the globe that prevented many households from buying animals for the celebration.”

Dr. Ayolo therefore called for unity among Muslims, noting that Muslims must reflect unity in speech, deed and relationship with other Muslims while sustaining the spirit of brotherhood, love and unity, reflected in the distribution, at all times.

The beneficiaries couldn’t hide their excitement while speaking with Muslim News, as they expressed happiness.

“Special thanks and abundant blessings to all the sponsors and coordinators. We appreciate the gesture. Together, we say Jazakumllahu Khayran to Yayasan Korban Ikhlas,” Mallam Sulaimon Lawal, spoke on behalf of the beneficiaries.
