At 10th anniversary, Muslim school rewards staff with land, all-expense-paid foreign trip

A faith-based school in Lagos, Noble Minds Montessori School, has rewarded five of its outstanding staff with land gift and all-expense-paid trips to Dubai.

The staff were rewarded for their loyalty, professionalism and long years of dedication to one of mankind’s oldest professions; teaching.

The Director and Executive Head of the School, Alhaji Kazeem Abiodun made the announcement at a colourful event held recently at Glover Memorial Hall, Lagos, to mark the school’s 10th anniversary.

Muslim News gathered that the Head of Crèche, Mrs. Aminat Olatinwo, who has spent a dedicated nine years, was awarded a parcel of land and a trip to Dubai, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), while the other four, Salau Kafilat Toyin, Akanni Mulikat, Oduola Zainab Bisola, including the Head of school, Balogun Shadiat Titilayo, who have spent more than five years, received all-expense-paid trips to Dubai.

Other members of staff also smiled home with different gifts, ranging from gas cookers, fridges and other home appliances for their loyalty and commitment to the school.

Professor Lakin Akintola, the Director of MURIC, who also doubled as the Chairman of the School Board and Amir Qamarudeen Ajala, a renowned Islamic Scholar on Lagos Island, were also awarded alongside other outstanding parents for adding value to the school and children.

Some of the excited guests and parents that witnessed the awards presentation commended the management of the school, saying that Noble Minds Montessori was the first Islamic School in Nigeria to dole out such a remarkable rewards to teachers.

Alhaji Abiodun said all the awardees deserved to be celebrated for their different contributions to the development of the school and Islam at large.

He encouraged other faith-based schools to emulate the school by rewarding teachers here on earth and urged them to leave their heavenly rewards to Allah.

The Proprietress, Alhaja (Mrs.) Najeebat Akintola-Abiodun thanked all Proprietresses and Proprietors of schools present at the event, including Al- Azeemah School, Omole, Guided Path School Magodo, Al-Rumaizoh School, Oshodi, Kemshidah School, Ogudu, Pivot Schools, Ikorodu, D’Nimble Minds Montessori School, Ajah and others from Lagos Island for their unflinching support.

She also expressed her profound gratitude to the chief launchers from Chief Mukaila Oluwa (the Oluwa of Lagos); Dr. Azeez Abiodun (Maryland USA), Bro Habeeb Abiodun (United Kingdom).

“Also to our co-launchers and parents, from Mr. Moyosore, Mr. Ayeni, Alhaja Fakoya, Mr. Usman and Mrs Yusuf, among others. We thank all parents for their kind donations. Our guest and lecturer, Barrister Ahmad Adetola Kassim (President Mandela Fellowship) is also highly appreciated,” she added.

She added, “Noble Minds has existed for just 10 years and has recorded tremendous achievements.”

She called on parents across Lagos Island to enroll their kids in Noble Minds Montessori School (14, Hawley Street, Lagos Island) and the recently commissioned Noble Minds College situated at 149, Igbosere Street, Lagos Island, for standard Islamic and conventional education.

The College offers a 3-in-1 education model – conventional education, Arabic education and Qur’an memorization to motivate loyal primary school leavers and others like them.

As for the secondary school admission, it is currently open to JSS1 and JSS2 students, while the Montessori has admission open from Crèche to Basic 6.
