Eid-ul-Fitr: Crescent moon sighted in Saudi Arabia; as Nigerian Muslims await Sultan’s proclamation

The Shawwal crescent moon was sighted in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) on Thursday, April 20, according Haramain Sharifain, therefore, the 2023 Eid-ul-Fitr would be celebrated on Friday, April 21.

The news of the moon sighting in Saudi Arabia excited many Nigerian Muslims who anxiously await a positive announcement from their spiritual head, His Eminence, Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Abubakar Sa’ad III later tonight.
