NAHCON chairman meets Ulama, promises spiritually enriching experience for pilgrims

The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) Chairman/CEO, Alhaji Zikrullah Kunle Hassan on Wednesday met with the distinguished Ulama of Nigeria at the Hajj House, FCT, Abuja.

The meeting was held to discuss relevant issues concerning the 2023 hajj operations and to foster a stronger working relationship between the Commission and religious scholars.

Alhaji Zikrullah, accompanied by the Commissioner of Operations and Licensing Alhaji Abdullahi Magaji Hardawa, the Commissioner of PPMF, Alhaji Nura Hassan Yakasai and the Commissioner of PRSILS Sheikh Suleiman Momoh, thanked the Ulama for their presence and acknowledged their invaluable contributions to the hajj experience.

Throughout his remarks, he stressed the value of collaboration and sought the guidance of the Ulama on various matters, emphasizing the guidance and enlightenment they provide pilgrims.

Using their extensive knowledge and experience in religious matters and pilgrimage management, the Ulama members also shared their insights and recommendations which included sensitising pilgrims on the rites of hajj, and organising special prayers for the nation on the day of Arafat, among others.

The Chairman assured the Ulama that their suggestions and concerns would be considered.

He emphasised NAHCON’s commitment to ensuring a smooth and successful 2023 hajj that will provide a safe and spiritually enriching experience for all Nigerian pilgrims.

He reiterated NAHCON’s commitment to working closely with the Ulama and other stakeholders to address the challenges and improve the overall hajj experience.
