Femi Adebayo in Makkah for Umrah, seeks justice for Mohbad

• Pray to Allah to keep you away from alcohol, Muslim fans

Popular Nollywood actor, Femi Adebayo is currently in Makkah, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, for Umrah (a lesser pilgrimage).

The actor posted pictures of him at Kaabah, inside Masjid Al Haram, the Muslims’ first holiest mosque, on Friday, September 22.

Femi Adebayo, who played the role of a ruthless warrior, Ogundiji in the blockbuster Nollywood movie, Jagun Jagun, could be seen in ihram, raising his hands before Allah in fervent prayers.

While seeking Allah’s solace in faith and hope for a better tomorrow, the actor also prayed for the singer Mohbad (real name Ilerioluwa Aloba), who died on September 12, 2023, in a controversial circumstance.

The singer’s death had elicited outcry from fans and notable celebrities including Femi Adebayo who are demanding justice for Mohbad, urging the police to fish out the singer’s killer.

However, some Muslim fans reminded the actor to pray to Allah to stop him from advertising alcohol, which is prohibited in Islam.

“Uncle Femi, May Allah answer all your prayers. Ameen. Also, remember to pray to Allah to stop you from promoting alcohol. It’s one of the great sins in Islam. Very important messages to you,” one user said on social media.

Reacting to this comment, another user said, “I have been waiting for someone who will talk about his continuous promotion of alcohol until I saw yours. If truly we love these celebrities, we should remind them too when they err. We pray that he won’t celebrate his return from Umrah with a bottle of beer.”

Femi Adebayo is a brand ambassador of one of the beers in Nigeria, Muslim News gathered.

In these sacred moments of prayer, I lift my heart to the heavens for all of you. May Allah shower His blessings upon each of you and grant you all the strength, joy, and guidance you seek in your lives.

And as I stand on this holy ground, I also remember the soul of MohBad. May… pic.twitter.com/KXazPWr8KO
