The leadership and the entire members of Muslim Ummah of South West Nigeria (MUSWEN) from across the six southwestern states of the country are expected to be in Lagos on Saturday, December 9, for the 8th General Assembly.
Speaking ahead of the much anticipated event, president of MUSWEN, Alhaji Rasaki Oladejo said, this is the first time the assembly will be holding outside its Ibadan Secretariat since its inception in 2018, and the Lagos State Muslim Community will be the first amongst the 6 states stakeholders of the organisation to play host to MUSWEN .
The Chairman LOC, Alhaji Rafiu Ebiti stated that the programme will start by 8am on Saturday with Free Medical screening, while the deputy Governor of Lagos state, Dr Kadiri Obafemi Hamzat will deliver a keynote address on the theme: “Rebuilding Unity; The quest for justice fairness and equity in a muti-religious society”
Tagged “Lagos 2023”, the General Assembly will be graced by prominent Muslim leaders across the South-West region and beyond.
The epoch making event, which will be held at UNILAG JF Ade Ajayi Main Auditorium, is also designed to brief the ummah on the ongoing MUSWEN International Entrepreneurship Centre and other Projects.
