Dr. Aminat Olawunmi Ige-Ariyibi, a Mathematics lecturer at Lagos State University (LASU) has emerged as the winner of the Overall Best PhD Thesis award of the University of Lagos (UNILAG) for the 2022/2023 academic session.
Dr. Ige-Ariyibi is a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) candidate from the Department of Mathematics with her thesis titled: “O-Metric Spaces: A Novel Unification and Generalisation of Metric-Type Spaces With Applications In Fixed Point Theory.”

Dr. Aminat Ige-Ariyibi, a Mathematics lecturer at Lagos State University (LASU) has been awarded the Overall Best PhD Thesis of the University of Lagos (UNILAG) for the 2022/23 session.

She will be presented with the award at the institution’s 54th Convocation ceremony slated to take place on January 18, 2024.
Dr Ige-Ariyibi, a member of the Guild of Muslim Professionals (GMP) has been described as a pride to all the female scholars.
