GRAMA to train Muslim youths on employability, professional growth

An organ of the Muslim Students’ Society of Nigeria, Lagos State Area Unit, Graduate Members’ Association (GRAMA), has announced plans to train Muslim graduates on survival skills for Nigeria’s competitive labour market.

The President of GRAMA, Mallam AbdulKabeer Kuye, made this known during a press interaction heralding the conference themed “The Future of Work: Adapting to a Changing Landscape”.

He noted that attendees at the conference, scheduled to hold on Saturday, May 25, 2024 at Tayo Aderinokun Hall, University of Lagos, would be empowered with skills to excel in today’s labour market.

According to him, top professionals from various industries like consulting, technology, education and legal would be speaking at the conference aimed at empowering more Muslims to make giant strides in the professional space.

Among the experts expected at the conference are a KPMG Partner, Dimeji Salaudeen; Partner, Banwo & Ighodalo, Azeezah Muse-Sadiq; Partner, Andersen Nigeria, Lateef Surakatu; Founder of Zulfah, Rasheed Ajao; the Head of Pharmaceutical Services/Chief Pharmacist, Mushin LGA, Pharm. Halimat Adedeji (Ph.D); and Chief Executive Officer, Omnicom Solutions, Engr. Faheed Olajide.

Others are Group Human Resources Senior Manager of Dentsu Nigeria, Mustapha Kelani; Founder TechPlan Africa, Mr Rilwan Akeyewale; and Mr Abdullateef Adedeji, a flipped classroom expert.

He assured participants of engaging discussions, noting that the conference would feature interactive workshops and networking sessions designed to foster collaboration, learning, and professional development.

Kuye said, “The conference is set to feature industry leaders from various walks of life. The event promises to be a pivotal gathering for Muslim graduates across Nigeria with experts discussing contemporary topics such as digital skills, remote work trends, entrepreneurship opportunities, and the importance of continuous learning in today’s fast-paced environment.

“The theme of this year’s conference, ‘The Future of Work: Adapting to a Changing Landscape,’ reflects GRAMA’s proactive approach to addressing the evolving challenges and opportunities in the professional world. With technological advancements, globalisation, and shifting workplace dynamics, the conference aims to equip attendees with invaluable insights, strategies, and resources to navigate and excel in the dynamic landscape of work.”
