The Muslim Students’ Society of Nigeria (MSSN), Lagos State Area Unit, has congratulated Abdulazeez Abdulrahmon, the 2024 One-Day Governor and champion of the 20th edition of the Lagos State Spelling Bee Competition.
The congratulatory statement was made at the monthly executive meeting of the Society held at its secretariat in Yaba.
The Amir, Mr Kamoldeen Abiona, stated that Abdulrahmon is an exemplary member of the society, being a serving executive as the Assistant Director of Studies for the Igbogbo-Baiyeku Area Council, where he oversees academic programmes, extramural classes, and competitions.
“His achievement is a testament to his dedication and the inspiring commitment of all MSSN members towards excellence”, he said.
“Abdulrahmon, a dedicated member and the Assistant Director of Studies for MSSN’s Igbogbo-Baiyeku Area Council, exemplifies academic excellence and leadership.
Abiona also appreciated the Governor, Mr Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu for the promise of an ICT Laboratory for Oriwu Senior Model College, Ikorodu, where Abdulazeez is a student.
“MSSN urges the Lagos State Government to expand its promised ICT Lab to other state schools. Recognizing the significance of ICT in today’s education, fostering widespread tech-enabled learning”.
“The Society also applauds First Lady Dr. Claudiana Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu’s initiatives to empower students, while calling for further efforts, particularly to address examination malpractice. MSSN remains eager to collaborate in promoting educational integrity and advancing student development statewide.
“We also celebrate with other cabinet members who performed well in various competitions, earning them to be part of the cabinet of the One-Day Governor.
