The Pure Heart Islamic Foundation is set to host its annual 5-Day Pure Heart Modeling Camp (PMC) this December 2024, taking place across Lagos, Ogun, and Oyo States.
The camp reflects the Foundation’s commitment to nurturing Islamic values, promoting peaceful coexistence, and equipping youth with skills to tackle contemporary challenges.
Organizers are confident that this year’s camp will have a profound and lasting impact on its participants.
The National Coordinator, Mr. Ibrahim Balogun, announced that the camps will bring together over 2,500 youths from secondary schools and tertiary institutions across the three states.
This year’s camp, themed “Sound Creed: The Bedrock of Justice,” aims to provide participants with a solid foundation in Islamic faith and principles, essential life skills, and a deeper understanding of global issues, including the ongoing challenges in Palestine and the Middle East.
In Lagos State, the camp will be held in the historic city of Badagry. Dr. Shakirullah Taiwo, the State Coordinator, expressed confidence in the preparations.
According to him, “Preparations for the camping program are in top gear. Venue arrangements are ongoing, and individual branches are coordinating all activities on their end. All logistics, including lectures and guest speakers, are finalized.”
In Ogun State, the camp will take place at venues in Ijebu Ode and Ota. Ogun State Coordinator, Mr. Ismail Olabode, highlighted the steady progress.
He said, “As of yesterday’s state meeting, all necessary arrangements have been finalized. Registration is moving forward smoothly, and local preparations are on track.”
Meanwhile, in Oyo State, the camp will be hosted in Iseyin, where excitement is building.
Engr. Abdurraheem Owodunni, the Oyo State Coordinator, provided updates, saying, “The PHF Oyo State Chapter team is visiting Iseyin today to create awareness and boost preparation for the forthcoming camp. Plans for a successful event are in good shape. May the Almighty Allah make it easy. Aameen.”
