Hamas political bureau member Khalil al-Hayya stated on Wednesday that the Palestinian people “will remember all those involved in the war of genocide,” as he thanked Türkiye and other countries for their support.
At a press conference, al-Hayya said: “What the (Israeli) occupation and its supporters committed, from brutal genocidal war to Nazi-like crimes, will remain etched in the memory of our people and the world as the most heinous genocide of the modern era.”
“In this historic moment, we extend words of pride and honor to our people in Gaza,” the official added.
Al-Hayya further recalled “the honorable stances of all countries that supported us in various fields, especially our brothers in Türkiye, South Africa, Algeria, Russia, China, Malaysia, and Indonesia.”

In this historic moment of our people’s struggle and ongoing resistance spanning decades— which will undoubtedly have consequences —we extend our deepest pride, honor, and gratitude to you, our people in the proud Gaza.
Oh, the crown of the victorious faction! Oh, great people of Gaza! Oh, noble people of Gaza! Oh, the families of martyrs, the wounded, the prisoners, and the missing! You who kept your promises, endured unparalleled pain, faced unprecedented trials, and upheld the trust placed in you with full faith. You have sacrificed when sacrifice was called for, given when giving was demanded, had patience in times of hardship, and fought in the battlegrounds of jihad. By Allah’s will, you have attained the highest honor.
Congratulations on your steadfastness, struggle, patience, giving, and sacrifices. “Peace be upon you for what you patiently endured. And excellent is the final home.”
At this moment, we stand in reverence and salute the caravans of martyrs—children, women, the elderly, scholars, fighters, doctors, journalists, civil defense personnel, security forces, government officials, police, tribal leaders, and families.
We honor all who ascended in the noblest battle for the greatest cause—the defense of Al-Quds and Al-Aqsa in Al-Aqsa Flood. A salute to those who remained steadfast in their promise, carried on the mission, and held the banner high after them.
We stand in awe before the martyred leaders whose bodies were torn apart in this battle:

And all our brothers in the political and military leadership of the movement in Gaza.
We also honor the martyrs of all resisting and fighting factions, excluding none. To them and to our people, we declare: Your trade is profitable, O our leaders and martyrs, by Allah’s will. This is a trade with Allah that will never fail, and we will continue along the path of our martyred leaders until victory or martyrdom, by Allah’s will.
The Al-Aqsa Flood operation has marked a significant turning point in the history of our cause and the stages of our people’s great resistance. Its effects will continue and will not end with the conclusion of this war.
What occurred on October 7th was a miraculous and unprecedented military and security achievement, carried out by the elite forces of the Al-Qassam Brigades. It will remain a source of pride for our people and our resistance, passed down from generation to generation. It struck the enemy’s entity at its core, and our people will regain all their rights. This occupation will soon be expelled from our land, Al-Quds, and our sanctities, by Allah’s will.
The genocidal and barbaric war, Nazi crimes, and inhumanity perpetrated by the occupation and its supporters over 467 days will forever be etched in the memory of our people and the world as the most heinous genocide of the modern era, embodying all forms of pain, suffering, and hardship.
The chapters of the genocide will remain a stain of shame on the forehead of humanity and the silent, complicit world. Our people will never forget everyone who participated in the genocide, whether by providing political and media cover or by supplying thousands of tons of bombs and explosives dropped on the heads of our people in Gaza. We affirm that all these criminals will face justice for their actions, even if after some time.
Despite the horrors and hardships our people endured—trials that turn children’s hair gray—we hold our heads high with pride in our resistance, our heroes, and our steadfast people. Our enemy will never see a moment of weakness or defeat from us.
On behalf of the orphans, children, widows, displaced families, the relatives of martyrs, the wounded, and the grieving, on behalf of all the victims, every drop of spilled blood, every tear of pain and anguish, we say: We will neither forget nor forgive. Yes, we will neither forget nor forgive, and there is no one among us who will ever compromise on the rights born of all this pain and sacrifice.
Since the beginning of the aggression, the occupation sought to achieve numerous objectives, some declared and others concealed. They openly stated their aim to eradicate the resistance, eliminate Hamas, retrieve captives through military force, and reshape the region. Their hidden agenda, however, was to liquidate the Palestinian cause, destroy Gaza, punish and displace its people, crush our people’s aspiration for freedom, obliterate every shred of hope, and erase the legacy of the historic crossing of October 7.
But the criminal occupation collided with the steadfastness of our people and their adherence to their land, failing to achieve any of its declared or hidden goals. Our people stood firm on their land, neither departing nor migrating, becoming the impenetrable shield for their resistance.
Our brave fighters from the Al-Qassam Brigades, those heroes who astonished the entire world with their extraordinary bravery and operations, stood steadfast until the very last moment of this war. They resisted with honor and ethics, both in defense and attack. They carried out unique operations with unparalleled courage and valor, planting explosives, launching missiles, setting ambushes, and engaging in close combat. They inflicted heavy losses on the enemy, turning the occupation’s machinery into charred coffins.
We salute all the fighters from the heroic resistance factions, especially the members of Saraya Al-Quds, our brothers in arms from Islamic Jihad. They exemplified the spirit of the free and sacrificial fighter, giving their lives willingly for the sake of Allah, their homeland, and the defense of their people.
Today, we affirm that the occupation has not and will not defeat our people or their resistance, by the grace of Allah. The occupation has achieved nothing but destruction, devastation, and massacres against our people. It only secured its captives through an agreement with the resistance to stop the war and aggression, along with an honorable prisoner exchange deal.
We say with confidence and certainty: The steadfastness of our people, their immense sacrifices, and the bravery of their resistance have thwarted and failed the occupation’s declared and hidden goals for this war. Our people’s will remains free, unyielding, and pure, untouched by betrayal or weakness. Instead, they have remained proud and resilient to the last moment, by Allah’s grace.
To our loyal and giving people… as we announce the achievement of a ceasefire and the end of the aggression, we extend all words of gratitude and appreciation to everyone who stood by us, our people, and our resistance during the harsh moments.
We particularly mention here our brothers on the support fronts in Lebanon, especially the brothers in Hezbollah, who have offered hundreds of martyrs from among their leaders and fighters on the path to Al-Quds, led by His Eminence Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and his leadership team.
We also remember the support of our brothers in the Islamic Group and the great resistance, sacrifices, and immense patience shown by the Lebanese people in defense and solidarity with our Palestinian people. They fought valiantly, turning the life of the occupation into hell and displacement, in a true scene of solidarity and support that embodies the brotherhood of Islam and Arab unity.
We also recall the brothers in Yemen, Ansar Allah—the brothers of sincerity—who overcame geographic distance, altered the equation of war and the region, launched missiles and drones at the heart of the occupation, and besieged it in the Red Sea.
We also remember the efforts of the brothers in the Islamic Republic of Iran, who supported our resistance and our people, engaged in the battle, and struck at the heart of the entity in the two operations, The True Promise 1 and The True Promise 2. Additionally, we recall the Iraqi resistance, which broke through all barriers to contribute to supporting Palestine and its resistance, with their missiles and drones reaching our occupied lands.
We salute our people and the revolutionary youth in the West Bank, especially in the heroic Jenin camp, in Al-Quds, in the occupied interior, and our people in exile and diaspora, as well as our Arab and Islamic nations.
We express our deep gratitude and appreciation to the mediators who exerted tireless efforts and engaged in multiple rounds of negotiations from day one to reach a ceasefire and end the genocide against our people. In particular, we thank our brothers in the State of Qatar and the Arab Republic of Egypt.
We also recall the illuminating stances of many countries that stood with us across various fields: our brothers in Turkey, South Africa, Algeria, Russia, China, Malaysia, Indonesia, Belgium, Spain, and Ireland, as well as the free people of the world.
We thank everyone who supported us with words, pens, voices, images, marches, demonstrations, the weapon of boycotts, political and diplomatic efforts, legal action, and by raising their voices against aggression and oppression in the region and the world. These free voices broke the conspiracy of silence, exposed the occupation’s crimes against humanity in Gaza, and recognized the truth of the situation.
We now face a new phase in our steadfast Gaza: the phase of building, consoling, removing the traces of aggression, and reconstruction. It is a phase of solidarity and compassion, where we reaffirm to the world that we are a free people who build rather than destroy, and reconstruct what the occupation ruins.
To our people in Gaza, as you were steadfast in war, so will you be steadfast after the war, as we have always known you. We are now in the phase of mercy, where we must show compassion to one another and stand united. The suffering and pain we endured were immense, but the greatness of this people is greater, and their values are even higher.
With Allah’s help first, and then with the support of our brothers, friends, and sympathizers, we are capable of rebuilding Gaza, alleviating the pain, healing the wounds, comforting the orphans, drying the tears of the afflicted, and restoring smiles to the faces from which war stole joy. As for our heroic prisoners, they are on the brink of the dawn of freedom, by Allah’s will.
