Amir Qamardeen Ajala is dead, to be buried Friday morning

The Nigerian Muslim community has been thrown into mourning following the death of a renowned Muslim scholar, Amir Qamardeen Ajala.

A family source told Muslim News that Amir Ajala who was also the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Hajj Monsur Consolidated Travels Limited, returned to Allah in the evening of Thursday.

“He wasn’t ill. In fact, he observed his Salaatul Maghrib and returned home to eat so he could go back to observe Salaatul Ishai when he slumped. He was rushed to the Lagos Island hospital where he was pronounced dead.”

A family member who has access to the late Muslim scholar’s phone confirmed the passing of Amir Ajala.

Information has it that Salaatul Janazah (funeral prayers) will be held for late Amir Ajala on Friday, January 24 at Campus Mini Stadium, Lagos Island by 10.00am.

“We leave immediately after the prayer for the burial activities at the Mainland Central Muslim Community Burial Ground, Mowe/Ofada, Ogun State ,” the burial committee added.

O Allah, forgive Amir Qamardeen Ajala and elevate his station among those who are guided. Send him along the path of those who came before, and forgive us and him, O Lord of the worlds. Enlarge for him his grave and shed light upon him in it. Ameen.
