Popular Nollywood actress Mercy Aigbe Meenah has expressed her joy and gratitude as she marked three years since embracing Islam.

The celebrated actress credited her husband, Alhaji Kazeem Adeoti, for guiding her through the spiritual transformation, describing him as a blessing in her life.

The revelation came on Saturday, March 15, during the first-ever Iftar with Mercy Aigbe, a heartwarming Ramadan breaking-of-fast event organised for selected friends and fans via social media platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, and X (Twitter).

The exclusive gathering took place at the Governor’s Apartment in Omole, Lagos, and was also attended by family members and Muslim scholars including Sheik Dr. Alfulanny of Sebilu Nnajat, who showered her with love and admiration.

A Night of Faith, Fellowship, and Gratitude

Muslim News gathered that the event was a spectacular affair, with Mercy Aigbe’s guests dressed in elegant Islamic attire, adding to the spiritual ambiance. The actress, who recently released her blockbuster movie “Ada Omo Daddy” on Netflix, was visibly elated as she shared the moment with her guests.

In a video posted on Emiralty Africa TV’s official YouTube channel, Mercy Aigbe reflected on her journey, describing how Islam has brought her peace and fulfillment.

Mercy Aigbe

“It is always good to give praise to those who deserve it, and that is why I want to give thanks to my husband because he always supports me, and I feel so blessed to have him by my side. It’s been up to three years since I converted from Christianity to Islam, and I’m enjoying it. My husband sent me to Makkah, I did all my religious rites there as a Muslim, and I’m now an Alhaja. I pray that Allah continues to bless my husband for bringing me to Islam,” she said.

A Presence That Lingers: Digital Creator Ohajianya Nwanneka’s Emotional Tribute

Digital creator, Hajia Ohajianya Nwanneka described the evening as an experience that left her feeling lighter, inspired, and grateful.

“Some people have a presence that lingers long after they’ve left the room. Mercy Aigbe is one of them. From the moment I met her yesterday, it was clear that she embodies grace in the most effortless way. She’s the kind of person you meet once and never forget. Soft-spoken, yet her aura commands attention. Humble, yet undeniably regal. Effortlessly elegant, yet so warm and welcoming. And let’s not forget, she smells divine!”

Thanks so much for having us, ma’am. You’re indeed a blessing to Islam. Thanks also to my amiable Alhaji Kazeem Adeoti for blessing us with a monetary gift. Beautiful faces at the event…
