An Israeli military vehicle has deliberately rammed into a van carrying Palestinians in the northern sector of the occupied West Bank, in what local officials denounced as a targeted act of intimidation.
A video circulating online shows Israeli forces intentionally crashing into a van near the Jenin Governorate Square early on Saturday as the vehicle was preparing to depart for the city of Ariha.
From there, the pilgrims were scheduled to cross the Karama Bridge border crossing into Jordan, en route to Saudi Arabia to perform the Hajj pilgrimage.
The van sustained damage in the attack, though no injuries were reported.

Deputy Governor of Jenin, Mansour al-Saadi, stated that the military vehicle directly targeted the van while it was parked outside the Governorate Compound.
Saadi described the attack as an act of intimidation, creating fear among the pilgrims and aiming at disrupting all aspects of life.
The van was transporting elderly pilgrims, many of whom are relatives of martyrs and wounded Palestinians. Some of the passengers reportedly suffer from chronic illnesses.
The van was part of a larger convoy transporting 376 pilgrims from the Jenin governorate to Mecca for this year’s Hajj pilgrimage.
Israel has ramped up its aggression against Palestinians across the West Bank since October 7, 2023, when it launched a genocidal war against the Gaza Strip.
Hundreds of Palestinians have been killed and thousands of others injured by Israeli settlers or troops across the occupied territory since the onset of the war.
More than 700,000 Israelis live in over 230 settlements built since the 1967 Israeli occupation of the West Bank and East al-Quds.
The international community views the settlements as illegal under international law and the Geneva Conventions due to their construction on the occupied territories.
