An Iwo-born Islamic scholar and Director, Inaayatullahi Travels and Tours Limited, Sheikh (Dr.) Sirajudeen Bilaal Al Asrau, has advised pilgrims to desist from showing off in their religious worship, saying it could reduce their rewards or nullify their ibaadah (worship).
Sheikh Bilaal Al Asrau gave this advice during the daily enlightenment lecture for devotees in Makkah, Saudi Arabia.
The respected Muslim scholar said that fixing golden or silver teeth should be discouraged, stressing that it’s not part of Hajj rites.
He also decried the prefixes of ‘Alhaji or Alhaja’ to the names of pilgrims after returning from the Holy Land.
Sheikh Bilaal Al Asrau observed that most people fix teeth to let people know that they have performed the Hajj rites which he said could reduce their rewards in the long run.
He, therefore, urged pilgrims to purify their intentions before embarking on the journey.
