Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq sends hearty congratulations to university teacher and leading Islamic finance expert Prof. Abdurrazaq Abdulmajeed Alaro (mni) on his emergence as the Nigerian Islamic Finance Person of the Year.
The award was conferred on the university lecturer by Muslim News, Nigeria’s leading news platform for Islamic affairs. Professor Alaro was named the Muslim News Awards recipient alongside many other Muslim leaders who won in other categories.
In a press statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Rafiu Ajakaye on November 17, 2025, Governor AbdulRazaq says the award is a deserving honour for the significant contributions of Prof. Alaro to the field of Islamic finance in not just Nigeria but across the Muslim world.
The Governor, who also congratulates other recipients of the #MNAwards across Nigeria, prays to Allaah to bless the prominent Muslim leader with good health, long life, and more rewards for his service to Islam.
