Congratulatory messages have continued to pour in from well wishers across Nigeria and beyond for Hajia Rizqat Folawe Sanni, a niqabi (veiled) Muslim woman and wife of respected Islamic leader, Alhaji Ishaq Kunle Sanni, as she earned a PhD in Mathematics from the University of Ibadan.

Dr. Sanni was among the 154 doctoral graduates conferred with postgraduate degrees at the university’s 77th Convocation Ceremony, held on Monday, November 17, for the 2024/2025 academic session.

Muslim News gathered that she successfully defended her thesis in October 2024, titled: “Explicit Embedded and Activity-Based Reflective Strategies and Senior Secondary School Students’ Learning Outcomes in Mathematics in Ibadan, Nigeria.”

The news, first shared on social media by Alhaji Surajudeen Olabamiji (Abu Aaishah), Personal Assistant to Alhaji Sanni, was met with a wide celebration.
