From Dutse to Ilorin, Epe to Ogunmakin Village, Auchi to Port Harcourt, the Muslim Students’ Society of Nigeria (MSSN) has launched the December 2025 edition of its flagship Islamic Vacation Course (IVC), widely regarded as the longest-running and most established Islamic training programme in Nigeria. Muslim students across Nigeria have commenced their annual Islamic Vacation Courses (IVC), the nationwide educational and spiritual retreat organised by the Muslim Students’ Society of Nigeria (MSSN) during the Yuletide season.
From the northern to the southern regions, the various zones of the Muslim students body, including the A-Zone (comprising the 19 northern states and Abuja), B-Zone (South-West), Lagos State Area Unit (MSSN Lagos), and Kwara Area Unit are hosting thousands of participants in different locations across the country.

MSSN B-ZONE
The 115th edition of the Islamic Vacation Course, IVC, began across three different locations in southern Nigeria, with the theme “We Are All Responsible.”
The annual programme, which runs from Tuesday, December 23, 2025, to Thursday, January 1, 2026, corresponding to 3rd to 12th of Rajab 1447AH, is organised to deepen Islamic knowledge and character-building among Muslim youths and adults during the holiday season.
This year’s Qur’anic memorisation focus is on verses 77 to 88 of Surah Al-Ma’idah.
The IVC B-Zone is taking place at three major venues. The central location is the Proposed Al-Ummah University, situated at Kilometre 30 on the Ibadan Lagos Expressway, Imolisa Village, Ogunmakin, Ogun State.
Other centres include Auchi Polytechnic in Edo State for the Edo and Delta axis, and Al Usrah Complex in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, for participants in the Rivers axis.
Participants are grouped into different categories based on age and educational level. The registration fee for kiddies is N7,000. Secondary school students are expected to pay N8,000, while those in higher institutions will pay N11,000.
Adults and working-class participants are to pay N13,000. A flat fee of N11,000 applies in Rivers State, while participants in the Edo and Delta axis will pay N8,500.
The organisers say the programme combines Qur’anic memorisation, spiritual lectures, educational seminars, skill acquisition, and interactive sessions, aiming to strengthen Islamic values and unity among the youth.
MSSN Lagos
Thousands of Muslim students from across all the local government areas in Lagos State are expected to converge at the Human Capital Development Centre, Noforija, Epe, for the 115th edition of the Islamic Vacation Course, IVC, organised by the Muslim Students’ Society of Nigeria, Lagos State Area Unit.
The annual gathering is scheduled to hold from Thursday, December 25, 2025, to Thursday, January 1, 2026, which corresponds to 5th to 12th of Rajab 1447AH in the Islamic calendar.
With the theme “Global Realities; Eternal Values” (الحقائق العالمية: قيم خالدة), the one-week programme is designed to provide Islamic learning, mentorship, and spiritual development for participants, especially students.
The memorisation focus for this year’s IVC is Qur’an Chapter 3, verses 102 to 110. By the end of the camp, delegates are expected not only to memorise the verses but also to understand and reflect on their key lessons, which include the importance of unity, steadfastness in faith, holding firmly to the rope of Allah, and the duty of the Muslim Ummah to enjoin good and forbid evil.
The IVC will feature a wide range of activities, including soul-inspiring lectures, interactive workshops, seminars, and classroom sessions tailored for secondary school students, undergraduates, and other young Muslims.
The registration fee is N10,000 for secondary school students, N15,000 for higher institution students, and N20,000 for other categories of participants.

MSSN A-Zone
The Muslim Students Society of Nigeria (MSSN), A-Zone Headquarters, which comprises the 19 Northern States and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, started its 81st National Islamic Vacation Course (IVC) in Dutse, Jigawa State.
The programme is scheduled to run from Monday, December 22 to Sunday, December 28, 2025, corresponding to 2nd to 8th Rajab 1447AH in the Islamic calendar.
The event is taking place at two venues in Dutse: Government Unity Commercial Secondary School for brothers, and Dutse Model International School for sisters.
With the theme “Developing a Skilled and Productive Ummah: A Pathway to Overcoming Socio-Economic Challenges,” this year’s edition of the annual gathering is designed to equip participants with both spiritual and practical knowledge to contribute meaningfully to the development of the Ummah and the nation.
The IVC A-Zone features a wide range of activities, including lectures, Ta’alim sessions, classroom instructions, entrepreneurship training, skills acquisition programmes, and professional retreats for all levels. Also included are PPIP and STP workshops tailored to the needs of Muslim students and professionals.
Registration for the event is N5,000 per participant, while the Kiddies Class attracts a fee of N3,000. Interested participants are advised to register through their respective Area Unit registration officers.

MSSN Kwara
The Muslim Students’ Society of Nigeria (MSSN), Kwara Area Unit, is set to host its 50th Islamic Vacation Course (IVC) from today, Wednesday, December 24 to Tuesday, December 30, 2025, corresponding to 5th to 11th Rajab 1447AH.
The week-long event will take place at the Federal Government College, Ilorin, and is expected to attract hundreds of Muslim students from primary, secondary, and tertiary institutions across Kwara State and beyond.
The theme of this year’s golden jubilee edition is “Transforming the Ummah Through Skills and Productivity: A Pathway to Prosperity and Development.”
The programme is designed to provide spiritual upliftment and practical empowerment through a blend of educational and interactive sessions.
According to the organisers, activities will include lectures and Ta’alimat, Qur’an classes, seminars and workshops, skills acquisition programmes, da’wah outreach, sports, and other engaging activities aimed at holistic development of the youth.
The formal opening ceremony is scheduled for Saturday, December 27, 2025, which is the 7th of Rajab 1447AH, and will commence by 10:00 a.m. The guest speaker for the event is Professor Lateef Folorunsho Oladimeji, Vice Chancellor of Al-Hikmah University, Ilorin.
Registration for the IVC is N5,000 per participant. The organisers have also opened channels for donations and support to make the programme a success.
