Jigawa First Lady visits Kiyawa, commiserates with families of 22 Dutse road crash victims

The First Lady of Jigawa State, Hajiya Hadiza Umar Namadi, has assured the families affected by the recent tragic road accident in Dutse that claimed 22 lives of the government’s support and solidarity in their time of grief.

She gave the assurance on Friday, January 2, during a condolence visit to Kiyawa Local Government Area, where she sympathised with the bereaved families and communities over the unfortunate incident.

Muslim News Nigeria gathered that no fewer than 22 persons lost their lives, while two others sustained critical injuries in a multiple-vehicle accident along the Dutse–Kiyawa Road in Jigawa State on Tuesday.

The First Lady described the accident as a painful loss that has deeply saddened the government and people of Jigawa State.

Speaking on behalf of the state government and its citizens, Hajiya Namadi expressed her heartfelt condolences to the affected families.

She led prayers for the departed souls, asking Almighty Allah (SWT) to forgive their shortcomings, grant them mercy and admit them into Aljannatul Firdausi.

She also prayed for the families left behind, asking Allah to grant them strength and patience (Sabr Jameel) to cope with the loss.

The First Lady reassured the people of Kiyawa Local Government Area that they are not alone, stressing that the government remains committed to supporting them during the period of mourning.

Hajiya Namadi further prayed for Allah’s protection over the state’s roads, the safety of all citizens and that such a tragedy would not occur again, adding that her thoughts and prayers remain with the bereaved families and the entire people of Jigawa State.
