* As NAHCON Chairman leads talks to strengthen Hajj operations
The Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), Professor Abdullahi Saleh Usman, on Tuesday officially received the Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah, upon his arrival in Nigeria for bilateral consultations between both countries.
Following the formal reception, the Nigerian and Saudi delegations proceeded to a high level bilateral meeting convened under the auspices of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, where discussions focused on strengthening cooperation, improving Hajj operations, and enhancing service delivery for Nigerian pilgrims.
The meeting underscored the longstanding relationship between Nigeria and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the administration of Hajj and Umrah, with particular attention to pilgrims’ welfare, accommodation, transportation, and overall operational efficiency ahead of upcoming Hajj seasons.
Professor Usman was accompanied by members of NAHCON’s top management and stakeholders, including the Commissioner for Operations, board members of the Commission, members of the Forum of State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Boards Chairmen, as well as leaders of licensed Hajj tour operators.
The visit by the Saudi Minister is expected to further consolidate bilateral ties and reinforce collaborative efforts aimed at ensuring a smooth, safe, and spiritually fulfilling Hajj experience for Nigerian pilgrims. See more pictures
