40 people die of COVID-19 in Nigeria as cases rise to 1,273

A total of 40 persons have lost the battle to complications arising from the Coronavirus disease in Nigeria, as the total recorded cases now stand at 1,273, Muslim News can confirm.

According to the National Centre for Disease Control in an update on its Twitter handle, 91 news cases were confirmed as of 11:50pm yesterday, 26th of April, 2020, taking the total recorded cases to 1,273.

The update also revealed that 239 persons have been discharged after testing negative for the virus, as death toll now hits 40. Kebbi, Taraba, Bayelsa, Ebonyi are states that just recorded index cases.
