He died at age 62
The news of his passage was announced on Tuesday, August 3, by Mehmet Bozdag, the producer of the most-watched TV series in the Muslim world in recent times.

Korkut was the Bey of the Dodurga tribe and older brother of Hayme, Ertrugul’s mother. He was also the father of Tuğtekin, who was martyred alongside his wife by the Mongols towards the end of Season 2.
After the death of his wife, Korkut married his mistress, who manipulated him and eventually killed him through poison.
