The Young Muslim Association (TYMa) in Partnership with Global Goals for Sustainable Development has today, Friday, November 19, 2021 kicked off its annual awareness on the prevention of child abuse with a special Jum’ah service held in Lagos and five other States across the federation, including the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Abuja.
It is part of activities to celebrate the World Day for the Prevention of Child Abuse, which is held globally every November 19.
The event scheduled to hold in six states – Lagos, Rivers, Kwara, Abuja, Ogun and Oyo States – is themed “Your role in ending child labour: Every child deserves love.”
Expected guests at the events scheduled to end on Sunday, November 21, are Governors Dapo Abiodun, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Seyi Makinde and AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Ogun, Lagos, Oyo and Kwara States respectively.
Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Hajia Ramatu Tijani Aliyu will grace the event in Abuja, while the Deputy Governor of Ogun State, Engr. Mrs Noimot Salako-Oyedele and Lagos State Head of Service, Hakeem Muri-Okunola are also expected honour the Muslim youths in commemorating the Day.
