Muslim News, Nigeria’s most authoritative Islamic Newspaper today, Friday celebrated the academic excellence of its pioneer Deputy Editor, Hajiah Bushrah Olagunju-Matemilola, who bagged Masters of Art in English Literature at the prestigious University of Lagos.
Hajiah Olagunju-Matemilola, who took leave of absence to dedicate much time for her second masters programme, was among the 12,217 graduating students at the 52nd Convocation of the University held between January 12-21, 2022.
Before her latest degree, MA. in English Literature, the Ede, Osun State-born media scholar/entrepreneur had obtained a postgraduate diploma, PGD and Masters of Science, MSc in Mass Communication at the same University.
Muslim News Publisher, Rasheed Abubakar and his family, together with one of its editorial advisers, a senior journalist with The Nation newspaper, Alhaji Tajudeen Adebanjo staged a surprise mini-convocation get-together for her today, Friday in Lagos.
The gathering was also attended by family members.
Alhaji Adebanjo thanked Allah who made the gathering a reality, adding that, “We felt the need to rejoice with our sister, who was among the graduating students that had their convocation on Thursday. We were not with her yesterday, but today, we decided to celebrate and thank Allah on her behalf. May Allah bless her certificates. Ameen.”
