* Says over 10,000 students from 111 countries have studied in Turkiye
The Turkiye Diyanet Foundation (TDV) interviewed Nigerian students who wanted to study theology faculties and Imam Hatip high schools in Turkiye.
TDV Education and Cultural Services Directorate Academic and Cultural Activities Specialist Ali Güner said that they first carried out an exam and then an interview to select students who will study in Turkiye within the scope of International Anatolian Imam Hatip High School, International Theology Undergraduate Program, and International Theology Graduate Scholarship Program.
Güner said that 250 students from Nigeria were applied as part of TDV’s scholarship program, but 100 were invited to the interview.
Güner emphasized the importance of educational activities for themselves and stated that a large number of students were educated in the TDV schools both abroad and in Turkiye.
Güner pointed out that students with middle school degrees for high school and high school graduates for undergraduates can be interviewed as a condition of admission, “In the selection of students, we first look at visual capacity, then we ask about the Holy Quran memorization and reading levels, general cultural information and then why they prefer Turkiye and its goals.” he expressed.
So far, nearly 10,000 students from 111 countries have studied in Turkiye with TDV’s scholarship.
