The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has expressed its sympathy to the family of the one- time director of Directorate of Pilgrims Affairs (DPA), the precursor of NAHCON over the death of the late envoy to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Ambassador Abdulkadir Sambo Imam.
Muslim News gathered that the former Ambassador died on Thursday, September 1, 2022, in Ilorin, Kwara State capital, at the age of 90.
In a massage of condolence on Tuesday, September 6, the Chairman/CEO of NAHCON, Alhaji Zikrullah Kunle Hassan described the late envoy as a gentleman whose contributions to Hajj administration will remain indelible and etched in memory forever.
According to him, the late envoy while in service, always put the interest of the nation above any other personal considerations.
He therefore prayed Almighty Allah to grant eternal peace to the soul of the deceased.
Meanwhile, a delegation led by Assistant Director, Information and Publications, Mousa Ubandawaki; Assistant Director, Office of the Chairman, Abdulkadir Oloyin and Ibrahim Fijabi of Ilorin Zonal Office was in Ilorin to deliver the chairman’s condolence message.
