The Muslim Media Practitioners of Nigeria (MMPN), north central zone has commiserated with the Salami family, the Kwara Muslim media practitioners and the entire NUJ family in the State over the demise of Alhaji Ibrahim Salami, popularly known as Tallest, a veteran photojournalist and a media ambassador par excellence.
Contained in a statement issued on Saturday, by the north central zonal coordinator of the association, Mallam Mustafa Abubakar, copy made available to Muslim News, it stated that Alhaji “Tallest” was one of the few mentors around whom many journalists, including him have learnt from.
The coordinator reflected that Alhaji Salami’s death is among the loss of seniors and veterans that have passed on, leaving “us behind to our faith in this profession”, stressing that from TS to Digital Alhaji to Yusuf Abubakar to Adeyemi Qaseem to Ayo Brown, just to mention but few, and now Alhaji Tallest.
Mallam Mustafa asked, “who knows the next among us, except our maker, Allah? Who will not die?”, praying that Allah should keep “us through this world in happiness and accept our deeds when the time comes”.
“Iku tin pa ojugba ẹni, owe nipa fu ni. Ka fura o. Let’s keep doing good in secret and in open”.
“Alhaji Salami, you came, saw and delivered, that I know. You are one of the few mentors around whom we all, especially me learnt from. But I ask myself, how will I end too? A rhetorical question for me and everyone. May Allah forgive and have mercy on your soul, amin”.

Our prayer is that Allah should forgive you, have mercy on your soul and receive you in paradise alongside the martyred.
