As part of activities marking its Annual Ramadan Relief Package, the Fourtheenth Moon Foundation (FMF) has distributed live chickens to needy Muslims in Lagos.
The Foundation doled out 35 live chickens to less privileged Muslims, as Eid-el-Fitr relief package, on Thursday, April 20th 2023 at MIMS Group of School, Somolu, Lagos.
While speaking at the distribution center, the founder of the Foundation, Ustadh Qasim Badrudeen, stated that the gesture was part of the foundation’s annual programmes to put smiles on the faces of indigents during the ‘Eid season. The number of chickens doled out was few this year compared to past years as a result of low contributions from our donors largely due to the economic situation in the country.
He said, “Our Eat the Ram project is the next project for this year, where we plan to distribute rams to the less privileged during the days of Eid-el-Adha.”
He added, “Our target for this year’s project is 500 indigents in each of the 20 local governments and 37 LCDA’S, totalling 10,000 indigents with estimated budget of #35,000,000.”
The Foundation had earlier distributed food items to needy Muslims at Ike Oluwa and Mosadi Oluwa mosques both in Kosofe Local Government Area and Abilene’s Okuta Temidire Central Mosque, Bariga LCDA on Monday 20th Ramadan 1444 A.H (10th April, 2023) where about 200 packages, containing majorly foodstuff were given out to the needy.
