Live translation of the Arafat Day sermon, one of the most important events on the Islamic calendar, has been expanded to 20 languages in a bid to deliver the message of Islam to the widest possible audience.
Muslim News gathered that during COVID-19 pandemic Hajj of 2020 which had limited number of pilgrims, the translation was pegged to 10 languages including Hausa, one of Nigeria’s languages. By 2022, it had been increased to 14 before the current addition of six more languages.
