Engr. Kamil Olalekan on Sunday was re-elected as the National President of the Companion, an association of Muslim men in business and the professions.
He was re-elected during the organisation’s National Conference held at the the New Faculty of Engineering Lecture Hall, University of Lagos (UNILAG), Akoka, with the theme; “Building A Nigeria That Works For All: Prospects And Challenges”.
At the swearing-in, the Shuraa Committee Chairman, Alhaji Waliyu Onibon also announced Imam Nojeemdeen Jimoh as Naibul Amir (Vice President), Alhaji Abdulkadir Ibrahim Alabi (Secretary–General) and Alhaji Abdul Kabir Lawal (Assistant Secretary-General).
Others members of the new cabinet are Alhaji Tajudeen Saibu (Treasurer), Alhaji Azeez Momoh (Financial Secretary), Alhaji Muideen Adeleke (Public Affairs Secretary), Alhaji Shamwill Ajibola (Internal Auditor) and Alhaji Fatai Femi Muhammed (National Welfare Secretary).
Engr. Olalekan was first elected as president of the organisation in 2021.
In his inaugural speech, the Amir thanked members for their support to his administration in his first term. He called for more support towards the success of the new administrative year.
He pledged that his administration would pursue with vigour, the actualization of The Companion House project. He thanked members who have redeem their pledge on contributions for the project.
