The Companion holds public lecture on education today

CONFERENCE: NOW THAT D-DAY IS VERY CLOSE

By Tajudeen Balogun, Head, MPMP

As the sun rises on the horizon of knowledge and progress, our organization, (The Companion, An Association of Muslim Men In Business and The Professions) as well as its supporters stand at the threshold of a remarkable opportunity. The stage is set, the countdown is since underway and the excitement is palpable as we prepare to embark on a transformative journey at the upcoming Conference Public Lecture.

With the resounding theme: Education For Sustainable Development and the engaging topic: Rethinking Tertiary Education Standard In Nigeria, we restate we’re about to delve into a discourse that has the power to shape the future of our nation.

On this auspicious occasion, the Media, Publicity, Mobilization and Publication MPMP Sub-Committee on behalf of the Conference Planning Committee and District EXCO in general is honoured to introduce our distinguished lecturer, Professor Khalid Adekoya, from the Department of Cell Biology and Genetics at the University of Lagos, Akoka, Lagos. Professor Adekoya is a scholar and on this strength a visionary in the realm of education. No doubt, his insights promised to be both enlightening and thought-provoking.

Of course, the session is to be led by an astute technocrat and committed Islamic worker, Alhaji Thabit ‘Wale Sonaike, Deputy Managing Director, Courteville Business Solutions PLC

The importance of reevaluating tertiary education standard in Nigeria cannot be over-emphasised. It is not just an academic pursuit but a commitment to our national development. In a world driven by knowledge and innovation, it is incumbent upon us to examine and elevate our education system so as to meet the demands of the modern era. Our future leaders – the torchbearers of change, will be shaped by the quality of education they receive today.

Now that D-Day is very close, MPMP on behalf of the organisers invite you all to join us and mobilise others in this inspiring journey.

Again, we reiterate, this Conference Public Lecture is not just an event; rather, a call to action and an opportunity for all of us to come together, share ideas, and chart a course towards a brighter, more sustainable future.

We must stressed here that: The success of this endeavour relies on your presence, your insights, and your commitment, as well as your influence on others to be part.

In the words of legendary Nelson Mandela: “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” So, Let us unite in our pursuit of a brighter tomorrow. Attend and influence others to be part of the incoming Public Lecture. Be a part of the change we wish to see in Nigeria’s educational landscape.

The future is in our hands, and with collective effort, we can redefine the standard of tertiary education to make a lasting impact on generations to come.

Don’t miss this opportunity to be a part of an exercise truly transformative. The future beckons, and together, we can make it a reality.

See you at the Conference Insha Allah!

Balogun is the Deputy Editor, The Eagle Online Newspaper, and Head, Media, Publicity, Mobilization and Publication Conference Planning Sub Committee.
