A non-governmental organisation, Nasir Giwa Mentorship platform has concluded all arrangements to organise the second edition of its NGM Conference on Saturday, November 25 at the Zone Tech Park, Gbagada area of Lagos, Southwest Nigeria, aimed at empowering the next generation of solution-seekers.
The maiden conference titled “Promoting Innovative Leaders of Tomorrow (PILOT)” was held last year, where over 700 participants across the country and top executives across different economic sectors of the nation were in attendance.
This year’s conference, themed “Solving Tomorrow’s Problems Today: Empowering The Next Generation Of Solution Seekers”, will also attract hundreds of prospective young leaders from diverse backgrounds and will feature discussions on Business, Leadership, Entrepreneurship, and Innovation.

This conference will bring together a community of like-minded individuals who can share their knowledge and experiences and inspire each other to achieve their full potential.
Muslim News gathered that the NGM Conference which starts by 8:00am (Nigerian time) with networking and pre-event activities alongside two panel sessions will feature collaboration and exchange of ideas, career trajectory and job opportunities among others.
The first session with the topic, “How I built it: the untold failures before the big breaks,” will parade young CEOs such as Moshood Olajide (Managing Director, Ardova PLC); Eric Idiahi (Co-founder/Partner, Verod Capital); Suraj Oyewale (CEO, Jarus Homes & Investment Ltd); and Azeezah Muse-Sadiq (Partner, Banwo & Ighodalo) as panelists. The session will be moderated by Hameedah Danmole (Director, Kingsworth Tutors).

The second session with the topic, “I have an idea, what’s next?” will also have the following talents Titi Adams (Assistant General Manager, Optimus Bank); Fuad Lawal (Project Lead, Archivi.ng) and Razaq Ahmed (CEO, Cowrywise) as panellists. It will be moderated by Aishat Liasu (Software Engineer, Baban Gona).
The Keynote Speech following the theme of the event will be given by HRM Oba (Prof) Saka Adelola Matemilola (Olowu of Owu Kingdom) and the guest speech titled “The innovator Mindset: Cultivating Creativity and Bold Thinking” will be delivered by Kafilat Araoye (MD/CEO, Lotus Bank)

Founded by the grand mentor and promoter of the platform, Engr. Nasir Giwa, in 2016, the platform was set up to equip members with tools, resources and network to empower their directions and accelerate their personal and professional development journey.
The founder, Engr. Nasir Giwa is a renowned expert in the energy and power sector. He has extensive experience in strategic leadership, corporate policy formulation, and technical innovation, which have helped him build a successful career in multinational energy and power companies such as Siemens, Solar Turbine Services, Mantras Nigeria, and more.
In 2015, he was listed as one of the 60 Most Influential Figures in Power by ESI Africa 2015. He is passionate about raising the next set of leaders by providing them with first-hand knowledge and guidance, hence, the birth of his mentorship platform, where he connects young Nigerians to suitable mentors. He aims to ensure that the young leaders on the platform have a much easier experience by preparing them to avoid the stumbling blocks he once had to overcome.
He is currently the Coordinator of BUA refinery and Petro-chemical Ltd.
