The President of the General Presidency for the Affairs of the two holy mosques of Islam; Al-Haram Mosque in Makkah and the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah, Sheikh Abdul Rahman Al Sudais on Friday, April 5, offered an emotional prayer for the grieving Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.
The respected Qur’an reciter made the prayer for the oppressed Palestinians while leading tarawih in Masjid Haram, Makkah, during the 27th night of Ramadan.
Muslim News gathered that millions of Muslims from different parts of the world, including Nigeria participated in the tarawih prayers, which was also held during the last Friday of the blessed month of Ramadan.
The Makkah Imam supplicated to Almighty Allah to grant victory to the Palestinians against Israeli oppressors who have killed over 33,000 people in Gaza since October 7, 2023.
He said:
Sheikh Sudais:
“Oh Allah, Grant victory to our brothers in Palestine and free them from the occupation of the Jewish Oppressors.
Oh Allah, protect Al-Aqsa Mosque from the aggression of the aggressors, and grant us a prayer in it before death.”

It would be recalled that the renowned Sheikh also remembered to pray for the liberation of the Palestine from the Israeli oppression at the beginning of Ramadan.
On Day 8 of Ramadan, he began his speech by praying for violence-hit Muslims across the world and then specifically supplicated Almighty Allah to feed and shelter the devastated Palestinians caused by the continued atrocities of Israel.
