The mosque is located within the premises of Al-Haqdeen International Islamic Society, sitting on a 7-acre of land at Orile Iyanu, Ikumapayi Olodo in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.

Al-Haqdeen international Islamic society was founded by Fadhilat Sheikh Ahmad Dhikrullah Agbara Je Tolohun fifty-five (55) year ago with the aim of using preaching and praying to emancipate people from idolatry and return them to the worship of Allah.

Muslim News gathered that the building of the 10,000 capacity masjid started in 2020 with the state-of-the-art facility for male and female worshippers.

Sheikh Ajani Bello

The Deputy Governor, in his welcome address, called on the worshipers on the maintenance of the mosque.

“You need to ensure that the mosque is maintained properly. All of you have a role to play. It is the duty of all Muslims to ensure that we maintain the mosque.

Aare Musulumi of Yorubaland admonish Muslims to inculcate Islamic tenets in children

He enjoined them to train their children in the way of Allah.

“We thank God our creator. All power belongs to God and we should let it reflect in our dealings. I have been with the Khalifa for over forty years. We have been together for over 40 years.

The Oluwo of Iwoland appreciated the Islamic organization for building mosque for people to worship Allah, saying that there is nothing that concern a traditional ruler with deities.

“Kings are the representatives of God on earth. There is a difference between culture and tradition and religion. I am a representative of God on earth. It is the king of kings that appointed me. Kings should stop worshipping deities.

The founder, Sheikh Ahmad Dhikrullah who could not hide his excitement thanked all the dignitaries that attended the commissioning.

He said, “The mosque is built for the generality of Muslims both in ibadan, Oyo, Nigeria and across the globe. They are free to observe Salat in the mosque. It’s not built for our members alone. It’s open 24 hours with constant electricity supply and state-of-the-art facility. It’s fully AC with the help of inverter.”

Speaking further, Sheikh Ahmad Dhikrullah noted that the building of the mosque is to showcase aesthetic beauty and excellence of Islam as a divine religion.

“We are doing this to show excellence in Islam. We want to encourage people to focus more on the worship of Allah without associating partners with Him. It’s a symbol for the worship of Allah.

“Our next project now is to build educational center for both Islamic and western knowledge,” he added.
