The newly appointed Chairman of National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, NAHCON, Prof. Abdullahi Saleh Pakistan, has paid a Thank-you visit to the APC National Chairman and former Governor of Kano State, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje for his unflinching support.
Muslim News gathered that the visit took place at Ganduje’s Abuja residence on Monday night shortly after Prof. Abdullahi’s name was announced.
The new NAHCON boss was the chairman of Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board during Ganduje’s tenure as governor of the State.
In a statement issued by the SSA to the National Chairman on Visual Communication & Events, Aminu Dahiru, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje congratulated Pakistan, saying he is confident that the new chairman will bring his wealth of experience to bear in taking the commission to a greater height.
Prof Abdullahi is taking the mantle of leadership of NAHCON following the removal of Jalal Arabi over allegations of gross mismanagement of the ₦90 billion allocated for the 2024 Hajj subsidy.
The appointment of the new chairman is subject to confirmation by the Senate as President Tinubu expects him to discharge his duties with integrity, transparency, and utmost fidelity to the nation.
