Sultanate Council Confers Traditional Title on Professor Isa Ali Ibrahim (Pantami) The Sultanate Council, led by His Eminence, the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III, CFR, mni, has conferred the prestigious traditional title of MAJIDADIN DAULAR USMANIYA on Professor Isa Ali Ibrahim (Pantami), CON.

The conferment took place during the 11th Shaykh Usman ibn Fodiyo Annual Lecture held on 2nd November 2024.

Professor Pantami was the Guest Speaker at the grand closing ceremony of the lecture with the theme “Unity as a Panacea to Insecurity and Poverty: Lessons from the Sokoto Jihad Leaders”.

The title of MAJIDADIN DAULAR USMANIYA is in recognition of Professor Pantami’s exceptional service as a religious and political leader, and his active participation in initiatives that align with the Sultanate’s vision of progress and welfare for the Nigerian populace.

The Royal Father also disclosed that Professor Pantami who has been supporting to him through thick and thin since he became the Sultan in 2006.

This honour reflects Professor Pantami’s outstanding contributions to education, public service, and community development in Nigeria.

Professor Pantami has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to improving the lives of Nigerians, particularly through his efforts in granting scholarships to indigent students and facilitating job opportunities for qualified youth.

 

His leadership has positively impacted numerous individuals and families, fostering hope and advancement in various communities.

The Secretary to Sokoto State Government, Alhaji Bello Sifawa, who represented the Executive Governor of Sokoto State, Dr Ahmed Aliyu, thanked the Sultanate Council for the well-deserved honor conferred on Professor Pantami.

He said that being a close friend and associate of Professor Pantami, he felt equally honoured.

The Sultanate Council believes that this acknowledgment will inspire others to engage in similar acts of service and dedication, further contributing to the betterment of society.

Professor Pantami’s efforts exemplify the spirit of philanthropy and leadership that the Sultanate seeks to promote.In a statement following the award, Professor Pantami expressed his gratitude for the honor and reiterated his commitment to continuing his work in education and public service.

He emphasized the importance of collective efforts in building a brighter future for all Nigerians.

The Sultanate Council extends its congratulations to Professor Isa Ali Ibrahim (Pantami) on this well-deserved honor and looks forward to witnessing his continued impact on the lives of Nigerians.

    Indeed, I feel honoured and overwhelmed with the initiative of Ibile Zakat Foundations. Coming at a time when most Muslims are in dire need of not only financial but also technical skill support to raise up heads amidst cutting throat economic and financial policies that jeopardize Muslims’ well-being. I hope it will go a long way in solving developmental problems of Nigerian Muslims.
