The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in Saudi Arabia has awarded the Presidency of Religious Affairs (Diyanet) Turkiye the first place in the diamond level of the “Most Successful Hajj Organisation” category, marking its third consecutive year winning the top honour for pilgrim services.
Diyanet Head, Dr. Ali Erbaş shared the good news on his official social media verified handles on Monday June 9, where he received the award from Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al Rabiah.
Erbaş attended the “Lebbeytum Award Ceremony” organised by Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah for the third time this year in Makkah Al-Mukarramah.

Muslim News gathered that the Turkish highest religious institution was awarded “Hajj Organisation Providing the Most Disciplined Services to Pilgrims” in 2024 and “Hajj Organisation Providing the Most Variety of Services to Pilgrims” in 2023 respectively.
The ceremony was attended by representatives from over 100 countries, but only 30 countries that met the specified criteria were eligible to participate in the competition.

Prof. Dr. Ali Erbaş in his post on popular social media platform, X (formerly Twitter) said the award recognised excellence in planning, pilgrim satisfaction, education, and innovation.
He noted this was Türkiye’s third win in three years and thanked all staff involved, vowing continued high-quality service for pilgrims.
