The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Nigeria, Yousef Al Balawi, has officially assumed additional diplomatic responsibilities as Saudi Arabia’s non resident ambassador to the Republic of Benin.
Muslim News gathered that Al Balawi presented his letters of credence to the President of Benin, Romuald Wadagni, during a ceremony held in Porto Novo, the country’s capital.

According to the Saudi Press Agency, the ambassador conveyed the greetings and best wishes of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman to the Beninese president.
Al Balawi also reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s commitment to strengthening the longstanding relations between the Kingdom and the Republic of Benin while exploring opportunities for greater cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
In his response, President Wadagni conveyed his greetings to King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and expressed Benin’s commitment to deepening bilateral relations with Saudi Arabia.

He also reaffirmed his country’s readiness to expand cooperation with the Kingdom across various sectors for the mutual benefit of both nations.
As a non-resident ambassador, Al Balawi will continue to reside in Abuja, where he serves as Saudi Arabia’s ambassador to Nigeria, while also representing the Kingdom’s diplomatic interests in Benin.
