The Nigerian chapter of the Independent Industrialists’ and Businessmen’s Association (MÜSİAD Nigeria), under the leadership of its President, Mr Tevfik Demirel, has called on entrepreneurs, manufacturers, exporters, importers and investors to join its official business delegation to the MÜSİAD Expo 2026, scheduled to hold in Istanbul, Türkiye, from September 23 to 26 (23–26 Eylül 2026).
The association said the international trade exhibition would provide Nigerian businesses with valuable opportunities to connect directly with Turkish manufacturers, exporters and solution providers while exploring new markets, attracting investment and establishing strategic commercial partnerships.
According to the organisers, the official Nigerian delegation will travel between September 21 and 27, with participants expected to arrive in Istanbul on September 22 ahead of the commencement of the four day exhibition.
MÜSİAD Nigeria described the expo as one of the world’s leading international business exhibitions, bringing together business leaders, investors, manufacturers and policymakers from different parts of the world.
The association said this year’s edition is expected to attract more than 50,000 visitors from over 110 countries, with over 350 exhibiting companies, more than 800 international businesspeople and buying delegations from 60 countries, alongside over 35 media partners.
According to the organisers, the exhibition provides an important platform for companies seeking to expand internationally through business to business meetings, product exhibitions, investment discussions and long term commercial partnerships.
The association noted that Nigerian participants would have the opportunity to source machinery, manufacturing equipment, industrial products, textiles, construction materials, halal products, agricultural technologies and other innovative solutions directly from Turkish companies while also showcasing Nigerian products and services to international buyers.
It added that participants would benefit from high value networking sessions, product sourcing opportunities and discussions on trade, investment, distribution and commercial partnerships with companies from across Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Africa.
MÜSİAD, one of Türkiye’s largest and most influential business associations, has thousands of members and an extensive international network, promoting trade, investment and economic cooperation among entrepreneurs across several countries.
The association said the programme is designed for manufacturers, exporters, importers, distributors, startups, small and medium enterprises, investors, chambers of commerce and business executives seeking to expand their businesses beyond Nigeria.

According to the organisers, the official delegation package includes a five night stay in a four star hotel, four days of participation at the exhibition, visa support and coordinated travel arrangements.
Participants will also enjoy airport meet and assist services, airport transfers, daily transportation between their hotels and the expo venue throughout the exhibition, attendance support, local coordination, visa documentation guidance and a Bosphorus dinner cruise scheduled for September 25.

President urges Nigerian businesses to seize opportunity
Speaking on the forthcoming trade mission, President of MÜSİAD Nigeria, Mr Tevfik Demirel, described the expo as a strategic platform capable of opening new frontiers for Nigerian businesses.
He said the event would enable entrepreneurs to establish direct relationships with manufacturers, investors and suppliers while exploring opportunities that could strengthen their businesses and improve international competitiveness.
According to him, participants will be able to negotiate distributorship agreements, identify reliable suppliers, explore investment opportunities and develop long term partnerships with companies from different parts of the world.
Demirel encouraged Nigerian businesses seeking to expand into international markets to take advantage of the opportunity, describing the expo as a platform where participants can discover new markets, build valuable business networks and conclude major commercial deals.
He expressed confidence that the business mission would further strengthen economic and commercial relations between Nigeria and Türkiye while creating fresh opportunities for trade, investment and industrial collaboration between both countries.
“We believe this business delegation will open new doors for Nigerian entrepreneurs and deepen economic cooperation between Nigeria and Türkiye. We encourage serious business owners to take advantage of this unique opportunity to connect with global partners and grow their businesses,” he said.
