Lagos agog as veteran journalist gives daughter’s hand in marriage to Hajj Operator’s scion + pictures 

Saturday, December 5, 2020 will remain memorable day for the families of the Olajides and the Alabis as their children, Hanif and Sakinah got married in a holy solemnisation held at Lekki Central mosque, Lagos.

The cutest bride, Sekinah is the daughter of Alhaji Abdul Fatah Olajide, former Bureau Chief of Daily Trust, who doubles as the Vice Chairman, Muslim Media Practitioners of Nigeria (MMPN), Lagos state chapter.

The lucky groom, Hanif is the son of Alhaji Qasim Alabi, the Vice President, South West of Association of Hajj and Umrah Operators of Nigeria, AHUON.

The beautifully decorated expansive premises of the Lekki Central mosque was agog for the glamorous shindig that saw in attendance prominent Muslim personalities from all fields of human endeavour.

Among the attendees were the Chief Imam of UniAbuja, Prof. Taofeeq AbdulAzeez; former Commissioner of Home Affairs, Lagos State, Hon. Abdul Hakeem Abdul Lateef and the Chief Imam of Lekki Central Mosque, Sheikh Jamiu Ridwan who solemnised the Aqdun-Nikaah and pronounced Hanif and Sakinah as husband and wife.

Also in attendance were Chairman and CEO, National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, NAHCON, Alhaji Zhikrullah Hassan; CEO, Hajj Mosrur Consolidated Travels Limited, Sheikh Kamorudeen Ajala; Dean, Faculty of Arts University of Ibadan, Professor AbdulHafiz; Erudite Islamic preacher, Dr. Sirajudeen Bilal Al-Asra; Imam Lighthouse Mosque; Alhaji Nojeem Jimoh; CEO, Easy and Quiet, Alhaji Mutiu Anthony and Justice Habeeb Wale Abiru of the Appeal Court, among others…
