[PICTURES]: MSSN Lagos organises special Usrah to commemorate 70th anniversary

Members of the Muslim Students Society of Nigeria, MSSN, Lagos State Area Unit, are converged at Alausa Secretariat Mosque, Ikeja, for a special Usrah to commemorate the society’s 70th anniversary.

The Usrah, also known as family gathering, is one of the series of activities marking the platinum jubilee of the Muslim students’ body founded on April 18, 1984 and launched on May 30, 1954, at Ansar-Ud-Deen Alakoro Mosque School Hall, Lagos.

While admonishing the students from all the active 47 area councils in the State, the guest speaker, Dr. Abdul Hakeem Abdul Lateef, the immediate past chairman of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC), said all various professions are necessities, saying there is one that is compulsory for everyone, which is the knowledge of the Quran and Hadith.
