Al-Mu’minaat to end 30th anniversary with lecture, awards for distinguished Nigerians

All roads will lead to the Lagos Secretariat Community Central Mosque, Alausa, Ikeja, on Sunday, October 26, 2025, as Al-Mu’minaat (The Believing Women) Organisation concludes its 30th anniversary celebrations with a grand lecture and award ceremony.

The national event, which kicks off at 10:00 a.m., will draw members of the organisation from across Nigeria, alongside Islamic scholars, community leaders, and other stakeholders in faith-based development.

Hajia Aminah Yahya, the Director of Education and Vice Principal at Egbe Junior High School, Lagos, and the Founder of the Yahya Aminah Foundation, will deliver the keynote lecture on the topic, “Nurturing the Next Generation through Mentorship: Al-Mu’minaat Lead.”

Her lecture is expected to highlight the critical role of mentorship in raising morally upright and responsible future leaders, while also showcasing Al-Mu’minaat’s efforts in youth and women development over the last three decades.

Muslim News gathered that as part of the commemoration, Al-Mu’minaat will honour selected individuals for their outstanding contributions to Islamic values, community development, and humanitarian efforts.

In her remarks, the National Amirah, Hajia Jelilah AbdulHamid, expressed gratitude to Allah for the successful three-month-long series of activities marking the anniversary.

“For the past three decades, Al-Mu’minaat has remained committed to Islamic propagation, the moral and spiritual development of women, and the empowerment of Muslim homes across Nigeria,” she said.

She prayed for safe travels for all attendees and dignitaries coming from different parts of the country for Sunday’s grand finale.
