The Nigerian First Lady, Hajia Aisha Buhari, hosted renowned Muslim scholar and one of the most influential Muslim leaders in the world, Mufti Ismael Menk and his team at the state house over the weekend.
Hajia Buhari’s joy knew no bounds as she posted pictures from the visit on her verified social media handles with the caption: “It was a pleasure and honor to receive renowned Muslim cleric and one of the most influential Muslim leaders in the world, Mufti Ismael Menk and his team at the state house yesterday. I wish him a safe trip back home.”
Mufti Menk, real name Ismail ibn Musa Menk, is a Muslim scholar from Zimbabwe, where he is the head of the Fatwa department of The Council of Islamic Scholars of Zimbabwe. He was in Lagos and Abuja, Nigeria between November 30 and Decenlmber 1, 2019 for the 5th annual Peace and Unity Convention.
