When the video of the leader of the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mr Nnamdi Kanu praying at the Western Wall in Israel hit the cyberspace on Friday, October 19, many doubted its veracity.
But the lawyer to the IPOB leader, Mr. Ifeanyi Ejiofor issued a press statement on Saturday, October 20, confirming the video to be true and recent.
On Sunday, October 21, Mr Kanu addressed a “world press conference” which was broadcast on the Facebook page of the outlawed pirate radio station – Radio Biafra, saying, he was speaking from lsrael.
He said: “I have returned full-time and I am coming home and I will bring hell with me”.
However, in a swift reaction to the video, the Israeli government belied the claim, stating that Mr Kanu is not in Israel.
Speaking during an interaction with some African journalists on Monday, October 22, in Jerusalem, the spokesman of the Israeli Foreign Ministry, Mr Emmanuel Nashon said there was no evidence that the leader of IPOB was in the Zionist country of recent.
Mr Nashon also said the pictures and videos showing Nnamdi Kanu praying in Israel could be old.
Debunking the claims by the self acclaimed Biafran leader that they have the support of the State of Israel, Mr Nashon said, “Our relationship with Africa is extremely important”.
Despite evidences that the State of Israel has violated international laws by using maximum force, as well as violent and aggressive methods against her neighbors, the Palestinians, Mr Nashon insisted that: “Israel is a peaceful nation that believes in the process of the world at these changing times”.
The question is: Who is the liar between Nnamdi Kanu and the State of Israel?
