In a chat with Muslim News, he attributed his success to Allah, saying that, “AlhamduliLlah (praise be to Allah). I am delighted to receive the CFO of The Year award for the third time.

“Excellence at work and dedication to duty remains the hallmark, which is the Islamic minimum anyway, while I think our stringent financial discipline and excellent CSR strides at MTN Ghana have paid off, yet again”.

The man of the moment with his award

Mr Kadri joined MTN Ghana from MTN Nigeria in 2014 as CFO after an outstanding seven-year career, where he held the positions of General Manager, Financial Operations and also General Manager, Financial Planning at MTN Nigeria.

Kadri had his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees at the prestigious University of Lagos.

He also attended the Columbia Business School, Wharton Business School and IMD Business School.

Before joining MTN in 2007, Kadri was Financial Controller at the Lafarge Cement WAPCO Nigeria PLC.

Kadri’s leadership and superior skills in directing the financial operations of MTN Ghana are evidenced by the sustained growth of the company in a difficult economic environment.

Under his direction, MTN Ghana was awarded Overall Best Taxpayer for 2014 by the Ghana Revenue Authority.

His citation read in part: “Your contribution towards tax payment has been tremendous, especially in 2014.

“You were not only the biggest contributor to our tax revenue, but you were the most compliant in filing of returns and making payments by statutory due dates. We are happy doing business with you.”
