A popular Birmingham, UK medical specialist, Dr Hussein Nagi has arrived Nigeria for the 6th edition of the Guild of Muslim Professionals (GMP) Convention.
His flight landed safely at the Muritala Muhammed Airport, Lagos early Saturday morning and he was accompanied by a delegation of the organisers, headed by the Secretary, Board of Trustees of the GMP, Dr Masud Bello to the Peninsular Resort, Ajah, Lagos, venue of the 4-day programme.
Dr Nagi, a Consultant Anaesthetist with the UK NHS has been involved in training top medical professionals in the UK and other countries, including Turkey, where he trained 27 medics from crisis-ridden Syria in 2016.
In a chat with Muslim News, Dr Bello said Dr Nagi has been invited by the organisers to train participants, with the belief that his vast experience as one of the world’s most qualified life and team coaches would have tremendous impact at the convention.
No fewer than 1000 Muslim professionals from different disciplines, such as accounting, law, technology, medicine, politics, and media are expected to attend the gathering, with the theme: “Transformational leadership, good governance and the Muslim professionals.”
