The Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja Zone of Al-Mu’minaat (The Believing Women Organisation) has flagged off her 2019 annual Al-Mu’minaat Week today, Thursday, July 18 with a media tour to NTA Channel 5, Abuja.
The week long programme, tagged “Societal Challenges: Muslim Women to the Rescue” is filled with series of events aimed at uplifting the spiritual alertness and societal impact of its members.
In a press statement detailing the activities of the week long programme, the society said it commenced the programme with a media tour in a bid to establish a long-lasting relationship with journalists.
According to the Amirah of the Zone, Hajia Khadijah Muh’Awwal, the media tour will be followed by Special Jum’ah services at designated Central Mosques within the Area Councils and Local Governments of Abuja on Friday, 19th July.
Day 3 (July 20th) will feature a Stakeholders Meeting, which would hold at The Merciful International School, Dutse Alhaji, Abuja by 10am, and a Health Caravan would take place on Day 4 (July 21) at Kuchyako Village Health Centre, Kuchyako, Kuje with the topic: Maternal and Infant Mortality.
On July 26, a Humanitarian Visit to Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) at Sabo Kuchingoro, Games Village, Area 1, Abuja would take place by 3:30pm.
The week-long programme will climax on Saturday, July 27 with a special programme tagged Women’s Day and Exhibition and themed, Family Emergence: Search For Mothers, which shall be discussed at Stonehedge Hotel, Behind Bayelsa Guest House, Ministry of Justice, alongside Maitama Road, Maitama, Abuja at 10am prompt.
